Direct Thermal printing provides easy printing since it does not require ink nor thermal ribbons to print. However, it does require a specific label that is compatible with direct thermal printing. Direct Thermal printing is best used for short term applications with minimal exposure to extreme conditions (chemicals, sterilization, cryogenic, etc).

The ZD421D printer excels at printing barcoded information for laboratory inventory management, sample tracking, etc.
